How it works
The insert folds in three and then forms nine layers of absorbent material – high absorbency while keeping a soft, pliable shape.
Material
A soft bamboo fabric, 80% bamboo and 20% polyester. Our materials are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. The standard prohibits the intentional use of PFAS and sets limit values for PFAS and other harmful substances.
Washing advice
Wash at 60°. Avoid fabric softener and bleach. Air-dry for the longest life. Full absorbency is reached after a few washes.

Frequently asked questions
Which insert fits my nappy?
Do you have a cover, Slim or Comfort? Choose Prefold with popper, stay-dry. Do you have a pocket nappy? Choose Prefold (Pocket).
How many inserts do I need?
With covers: 6–8 covers and 20–25 inserts is enough if you use cloth nappies full time. With pocket nappies: one insert per nappy.
Stay-dry or bamboo against the skin?
This applies to Prefold with popper, stay-dry. It has two sides: the stay-dry side feels dry against the skin, while the bamboo side feels damp once your child has weed, which can help when it is time for potty training. You choose which side goes against the skin.
How do I fasten the insert in the cover?
This applies to Prefold with popper, stay-dry: pop the insert into the cover, at the front or the back. One point is enough. Prefold (Pocket) has no popper – it goes inside the pocket of the nappy.
How many layers of fabric is it?
The insert is sewn in three layers. Folded lengthways it becomes nine layers of fabric – which is why one insert goes such a long way.
Washing and drying time
Wash at 60 degrees. No fabric softener, no bleach. Hang to dry – the insert dries in a few hours and is happy to hang in the sun. After a few washes it absorbs at its best.
