Three nappies are an easy way to get started alongside what you already use. The newborn months are also the simplest time to try — as long as your baby is only having milk, there is no rinsing to do; the whole nappy goes into the wash. Build up your stash at your own pace.
How it works
Newborn is a complete nappy used with both inserts — put the loose one in the pocket and it is ready. Nothing else to buy. You set the size with the snaps at the front. You do that once, and change it only when your baby has grown. At each change you just snap the waist, like a disposable. Having one insert loose makes the nappy quicker to dry.
If your baby has not started solids, the whole nappy goes straight into the wash. Once solids have started, tip the stool into the toilet first.
Washing
Wash at 60°C on a long cycle, ideally with a prewash and an extra rinse. No fabric softener or bleach. Air-drying is best.
Materials
The outer is recycled polyester (r-PET) with a waterproof TPU coating. The inside and the sewn-in insert are bamboo terry. All the bamboo fabric in the nappy is 80% bamboo and 20% polyester. Our materials are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. The standard allows no intentionally added PFAS and sets limit values for other harmful substances.
Frequently asked questions
Slim or Comfort? How to choose
Newborn (2–6 kg): Best fit for the very first weeks.
Slim (3–15 kg): A narrower cut. Fits a slim-built child best, and many use it from birth.
Comfort (5–17 kg): Roomier, and suits most children from 5 kg. The only one that works with the night nappy.

How many nappies do I need?
Most people start with 4–6 nappies to try it out, and 18–24 to use cloth around the clock. Buy several and the discount is applied automatically at checkout – see the Nappy Ladder below.
Do cloth nappies leak?
Less than you'd think. Loose baby poo often stays better in a cloth nappy thanks to the adjustable fit. If wetness comes through, it's almost always down to too little absorbency or a fit that needs adjusting — an extra insert and the two-finger rule usually solve it.
Isn't it loads of washing?
A few extra loads a week, usually every third day. 60° with a prewash and an extra rinse, no fabric softener. Today's machines handle it without any fuss.
Does it smell at home?
Not if air can get to it. Store in a wetbag or an open bucket with a towel over it – dry, never in a sealed container. Many even find it smells less than a bag of disposables: wee that's allowed to dry smells less than wee sealed in plastic.
Is it really cheaper than disposables?
Yes, over time. One wash costs about SEK 7. Over the whole nappy period, cloth nappies can save up to SEK 10,000 compared with disposables — even more with siblings or if you sell them on.
Are they kind to the skin?
The materials are OEKO-Tex Standard 100-certified. The bamboo side of the insert is a natural, breathable material — you can choose that or a stay-dry side against the skin. If skin problems occur, consult your child health centre or a doctor.
Do cloth nappies suit everyone?
Most people who try them find it easier than they first thought — a cloth nappy works just like a disposable, you wash it instead of throwing it away. It doesn't suit every family every day, and that's okay. Start small and see how it works for you.
