Washing instructions

Usage

Prepare the diaper

Place the absorbent insert into the pocket of the diaper so that it is ready for use.

At diaper change

Tip any solid waste into the toilet. Remove the insert and store both the diaper and the insert in a wetbag or a bucket that allows good ventilation until it's time to wash.

Washing instructions

Wash at 60°C on a long cycle.
Choose a program with extra water (since the diaper inserts are designed to hold a lot of liquid, they absorb water during washing).

Do not use bleach or fabric softener to ensure a long life for the diapers.

We recommend avoiding tumble drying, as it is gentler on both the diapers and the environment.

Healthy and safe material choices

Materials

Pocket Diaper: 100% recycled polyester (TPU). Inside made of 100% polyester (Stay dry)

OEKO-Tex Standard 100

Our pocket diapers are made from materials free from harmful chemicals such as BPA and phthalates. The diaper has a waterproof TPU coating that allows the skin to breathe, creating an optimal and gentle environment for your baby's skin.

The absorbent inserts are made from a bamboo-polyester blend. Bamboo has natural antibacterial properties, contributing to hygienic use and reducing the risk of irritation. Together, these materials provide high absorption and extra softness for long-lasting durability.

Tillsammans för renare hav

At Time Ahead Sweden, we are committed to reducing plastic pollution in our oceans and rivers. Through monthly donations to Seven Clean Seas, we contribute to the collection and recycling of approximately 70–100 kg of plastic per year. This support helps fund projects across various regions, focusing on cleaning the oceans and creating sustainable pathways for recycled plastic.

In addition, we use GRS-certified (Global Recycled Standard) recycled plastic in our products, ensuring that resources are managed responsibly and ethically.

By choosing our products, you are not only supporting sustainable materials but also helping to keep our oceans cleaner. Throughout the year, we may also provide additional support to specific sustainability projects that align with our mission.

"As a producer, we believe we have a great responsibility to reduce our environmental impact. We may not be able to collect every kilogram of plastic we use, but by choosing recycled plastic for our diapers and supporting plastic removal initiatives, we are taking important steps to give back to our planet. This choice comes at a higher cost to us, but we believe it’s worth it to offer a more sustainable product – without passing that cost onto our customers."

FAQ - Questions & answers

What is a pocket diaper?

A pocket diaper is a cloth diaper with a pocket where you insert an absorbent liner. It looks and functions similarly to a disposable diaper, but it can be reused after washing. The absorbent insert is placed in the pocket, and when the diaper is dirty, you simply remove the insert to wash both the diaper and the insert.

How does the diaper prevent leaks while allowing moisture to escape?

The diaper's fabric is coated with TPU, a thin, waterproof coating that prevents leaks while allowing air to circulate. TPU is free from harmful chemicals like BPA and phthalates. The fabrics and materials used in the diaper are certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, ensuring they are safe and gentle on your baby’s skin.

What should I do with the poop before washing?

Solid waste should be tipped into the toilet before preparing the diaper for washing. You can also use disposable liners inside the diaper (on top of the regular insert), which can be thrown away with the poop in the trash.

Do I save money by using cloth diapers?

Yes, cloth diapers save you a significant amount compared to disposable diapers. Despite the costs for washing and energy, cloth diapers are a cost-effective choice. If used for more than one child, the savings are even greater.

What are the practical benefits of cloth diapers compared to disposables?

Cloth diapers are reusable and environmentally friendly, reducing both waste and long-term costs. They can be adjusted to fit your child throughout the diapering period and are gentle on the skin, which reduces the risk of diaper rash.

How many pocket diapers do I need?

For full-time use, it is recommended to have about 20–25 diapers if you plan to wash every three days. The number depends on how often you change diapers and how often you wash them.

How do I wash cloth diapers?

Cloth diapers can be easily machine washed at 60°C. Do not use fabric softener or bleach, and avoid tumble drying to extend the life of the diaper. Air drying is best for optimal results.

Do I need to change the entire pocket diaper every time?

Yes, since the insert is inside the pocket and absorbs the liquid, both the diaper and the insert need to be changed at every diaper change.

How do I adjust the diaper to fit my baby?

The diaper has rise snaps on the front to adjust the size and additional snaps at the waist to fit the baby's midsection. A good fit is when you can fit 1–2 fingers comfortably in the waist for a snug but comfortable fit.
