Use & washing instructions

How to use

Prepare the diaper

Place the absorbent insert in the pocket of the diaper so that it is ready for use.

When changing the diaper

Tip any stool into the toilet. Remove the insert and store the diaper and insert in a wetbag or bucket that allows good ventilation until it is time to wash.

Washing instructions

Wash at 60°C on a long program.

Choose a program with extra water (as diaper inserts are designed to hold a lot of liquid, they absorb water during washing)

Do not use bleach or fabric softener, to give the diapers a really long life.

We recommend avoiding tumble drying, as it is gentler on both diapers and the climate.

Healthy & safe material choices

Materials

Pocket diaper: 100% polyester (PUL). Inside of 100% polyester (Stay dry)

Inserts: 80% bamboo, 20% polyester

SGS certified materials

Our Basic diapers are made from materials that have been tested and certified according to SGS standards, which means they meet high standards of safety and quality. The certification ensures that the fabrics are free of harmful substances and safe for children to use.

The fabric has a waterproof PUL lamination that makes the diaper soft, flexible and breathable - a practical solution that creates a skin-friendly environment throughout the day.

The absorbent inserts are made from a bamboo-polyester mix. Bamboo has natural antibacterial properties, contributing to hygienic use and reducing the risk of irritation. Together, these materials provide high absorption and extra softness for long-lasting durability.

Great benefits of cloth diapers!

FAQ - Questions & answers

What is a pocket diaper?

A pocket diaper is a cloth diaper with a pocket where you put an absorbent insert. It looks and works like a disposable diaper, but it can be reused after washing. The absorbent insert is placed in the pocket, and when the diaper is dirty, you simply remove the insert to wash both the diaper and the insert.

How does the diaper stay tight without trapping moisture?

The diaper fabric is coated with PUL, a thin, waterproof coating that prevents leaks while allowing air to circulate. PUL is free of harmful chemicals like BPA and phthalates. The materials in the diaper are tested by SGS to ensure they are free from harmful substances such as lead and phthalates. This makes it a safe choice for both children and the environment.

What do I do with the stool before washing?

Solid stools are tipped into the toilet before the diaper is prepared for washing. You can also use disposable inserts in the diaper (on top of the regular insert), in which case the insert is disposed of with the stool in the trash.

Will I save money by using cloth diapers?

Yes, cloth diapers save you a lot of money compared to disposable diapers. Despite the cost of laundry and energy, cloth diapers are an economically smart choice. If they are used for more than one child, the savings are particularly significant.

What are the practical advantages of cloth diapers over disposable diapers?

Cloth diapers are reusable and environmentally friendly, reducing both waste and long-term costs. They can be adjusted to fit your baby throughout the diapering period and are gentle on the skin, reducing the risk of diaper rash.

How many pocket diapers do I need?

For full-time use, about 20-25 diapers are recommended if you plan to wash every three days. The number depends on how often you change the diaper and how often you wash.

How do I wash cloth diapers?

Cloth diapers are easily machine washed at 60°C. Do not use fabric softener or bleach and avoid tumble drying to prolong the life of the diaper. Let air dry for best results.

Do I need to change the whole pocket diaper every time?

Yes, as the insert is inside the pocket and absorbs the liquid, both the diaper and the insert need to be changed at each diaper change.

How do I adjust the diaper to fit my baby?

The diaper has height buttons in the front to adjust the size and more buttons in width to fit the waist size. It is good to get 1-2 fingers in the waist for a good and comfortable fit.

Basic diaper with velcro

Love this diaper because it's so easy to put on when you have an active baby. Very soft inserts too. However, I would have loved if they came in all the patterns that the All-in-One cloth diapers have since I like those designs a bit more.
